Streets of the World Connecting Humanity Exhibition
After 7 years of traveling and photographing 195 capitals it is now time to share the amazing story of Streets of the World. And we are doing so with the Streets of the World Tour. Our goal: to share our story about human connection in all the capitals of the world.
Sometimes we’ll do it in a very small way, sometimes we’ll do it in a very big way. We are now very proud to announce that the kick-off of this worldwide tour is in: Dubai!! And it will be BIG. Like, the longest photo-exhibition ever organized, big.
Dutch photographer Jeroen Swolfs has traveled in 7 years to all the capitals in the world, to capture humanity. He photographed every day streetlife, with a consistent point of view, creating an ongoing horizon throughout the exhibition. As a result, you will feel as if you are part of the scene, observing humanity in its purest form.
We invite you to join us on our journey to all the capitals in the world, to learn about what makes every country unique, but more importantly to discover how we as human beings, despite our different backgrounds and cultures, are globally connected.
194 huge photo prints
From 20 January 2019 till 5 April 2019 alongside the beautiful Dubai Creek at the enchanting Al Seef leisure destination by Meraas, Streets of the World will set up the longest photo exhibition ever organized: a 1.8 kilometer long trip through the world, consisting of 194 photo prints, spread throughout the modern and the heritage part at Al Seef. In the modern part, Jeroen's 65 best photographs will be displayed on huge 2m x 3m billboards. In the heritage part, 1.30m x 2m lightcubes, designed to fit the traditional scenery, will showcase the rest of the photos. All will be lit at night as well.'
Strolling, strolling, strolling
Stroll along the relaxing river side where this bustling city once started, and pearl fishing was the foundation of what is now one of the most impressive cities in the world. Make your way through the continents of Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and Oceania and learn about your fellow humans living in their streets, as you do in yours. This grand exhibition will show you how many things we share as humans around the world and leave you with a sense of connection to all those streets and the people that dwell in them.
Drift away on dreams of exploration
In a highly educational form, using a specially designed app for storytelling, visitors can explore their world on the banks of the Dubai Creek and drift away on dreams of exploration and adventure.
