News: Streets of the World Photo Museum in Zaandam is closed
With our festive opening on 16 June 2017 still fresh in mind, the time has come to close the Streets of the World Photo Museums doors in Zaandam the Netherlands. After 14 brilliant months it’s now time to continue our travels around the world, to share Jeroen Swolfs’ extraordinary message with the people in it.
Streets of the world doesn't stop but continues
Jeroen Swolfs’ work invites people to look at each other differently. To not focus on our differences, but more on what connects us. With this message Streets of the World journeys around the world. But first let’s count our blessings from the past 14 months.
Streets of the World has:
- Welcomed 19.723 museum visitors
- Attended 2 art-fairs
- Organised 48 guided tours, by Jeroen
- Organized 1 busker festival
- Hosted 12 B2B-events
- Held 2 canon experience days
- Organized 1 Serbian zoom-event
- Inspired 1367 school kids
- Sold 439 pieces of cheesecake
- Brewed 5462 cups of coffee
What will Streets do now?
During winter 2018, the streets of the world photo exhibition will move from an indoor exhibition to an outdoor exhibition, in the heart of the Amsterdam Business District. But that’s not all; spring 2019 you’ll find us at Canary Wharf in Londen and when summer arrives we’ll move on to Brussels. So, Streets of the World continues its journey around the world to bring back the photographs to you, the people. From city to city, country to country and continent to continent.
